Terrace Building
Raymond hired 20 Haitian to build terraces which he had observed in Tibet. He would hire them in 2-week intervals. A person would need to volunteer to help on the Friday and Saturday of the previous week to qualify to get his name in the hat for the next 2 weeks to work for a dollar a day. At times they would have 300 people volunteering for the job. They used a pick, shovel, and hand level to build the terraces.
