First Bridge Project

On one 10- mile section of road, on the original trial, the travelers had to cross the river 64 times but with the new road that Hope for Haiti built, they only needed to cross the river 2 times but if the river was up, they couldn’t cross at all.

A donor provided 2 bridges, one 115 feet long and the other 134 feet long.

The bridges carry a heavy load of traffic. In a 2-hour count, there were 2.6 vehicles per minute. Volunteers installed both bridges, thanks to your willing hands. To date, there have been probably 350 miles of road built or rebuilt. The roads have been a path to other improvements.
